No Choice
You're only 8 years old
your shaking from the cold
your shirt is torn your jeans are fading
I sense the next ten years, I see it in your tears
I can't believe there's nothing I can say
You're just a little boy, your mind is full of hate.
The love you have is stolen from you.
there's no shine in your eyes
I see your telling lies
Your fist is clenched your mind is raging
There's bruises on your arms, there's bruises on your soul
I can't believe I cannot see this through
You're just a little boy.
You're heart is full of rage.
The love you have was stolen from you.
You're only 8 years old.
Your life's already made.
I can't believe I have no power.
There's nothing you deserve.
There's nothing you've done wrong.
I can't believe that God can torture you.
You're just a little boy.
You haven't had a chance.
The love you have is stolen from you.
God help you.

Stitches in Time
by Angie Nussey
Our story begins back in 1893
when Adelaide Hoodless
suffered a great tragedy.
And from her came strength.
Like the strength of one.
If only she'd known of the quilt she'd begun.
(Chorus)
The power of women who speak their minds
Forms a quilt of stitches in time.
Begun by a circle that never ends.
A circle, a circle of friends.
On to Grace Hartman, the first woman Mayor of Sudbury.
She headed the project of the rooms registry.
And from her came determination.
Like a soul who's never undone.
I sure hope she knows of the quilt she'd begun.
(Chorus)
Jean Dick, her charisma had made her the first president of the YW.
In Sudbury.
And from her comes hope.
Like the hope of some.
If only she'd known of the quilt she'd begun.
(Chorus)
Genevra Richards, our friend Rich well she came from afar.
She was a house Mom who became the first executive of the YW.
And from her comes spirit.
Like the spirit of one.
I sure how she knows of quilt she'd begun.
(Chorus)
Thank you everyone volunteers, the hospitals, the friends,
The businesses, the people who care, the ones who can help us the ones who can share.
“We'll be the greatest and strongest group of young women ever formed.
I mean of women by women for women.” We're a circle of friends.
Stitches in time. A circle of friends. Stitches in time. A circle of friends.
